PUBLICATIONS AND REPORTS

Just Another Emperor? The Myths and Realities of Philanthrocapitalism by Michael Edwards
“Of late we are beset by discussions of (mix and match) social ventures, venture philanthropy, social venture capital, and social enterprise, all of which attempt to embed the principles of capitalism in efforts to transform and better society. Edwards, the director of the governance and civil society unit at the Ford Foundation, challenges this line of thinking.” (From the Nonprofit Quarterly)

Ready to Lead? Next Generation Leaders Speak Out
“In Daring to Lead we learned that three out of four executive directors surveyed said they would be likely to leave their jobs within the next five years. The Meyer Foundation has now released the obvious successor to that study, looking at who is (and who isn't) ready to replace these leaders. This report presents the results of a survey of over 6,000 “next generation leaders,” and concludes with recommendations for current leaders, emerging leaders, boards, capacity builders and funders.” (From Nonprofit Online News)
