Nonprofit Sector Research Minigrant Program
Description
As part of its research mission to advance knowledge about nonprofit management and the nonprofit sector, the Helen Bader Institute for Nonprofit Management at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee is committed to building a community of scholarship by providing funding for research across a range of disciplines.
The purpose of the Nonprofit Sector Research Minigrant Program is to encourage both academic and community researchers to apply their scholarly or practical expertise to the study of the nonprofit sector, nonprofit organizations, nonprofit management and leadership, or philanthropy. Applications are encouraged that propose research that advances understanding of nonprofit organizations or the nonprofit sector, makes a contribution to the growing literature on nonprofits, and produces knowledge of the sector with implications beyond specific organizations studied.
Grants of up to $5,000 will be awarded for successful proposals. The application deadline for the 2008 cycle is November 16 , 2007.
