Capacity-Building for Wisconsin Nonprofits

Research Summary

In September and October 2005, a mail survey of over 6,000 Wisconsin nonprofits was conducted ito assess their capacity-building needs. The survey was commissioned by the Helen Bader Institute for Nonprofit Management at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee (UWM) and carried out by the Center for Urban Initiatives and Research at UWM. It was designed to complement a study to assess the feasibility of establishing a statewide association of nonprofits in Wisconsin.

Preliminary results of the capacity-building survey were presented to a steering committee of the State Association of Wisconsin Nonprofits Project.
