This Wisconsin Child Abuse and Neglect Report reflects data collected during

calendar year 2005 regarding reports of child abuse and/or neglect in Wisconsin.

This report has been compiled by the Department of Health and Family Services to

assist state policymakers, service providers and the public in understanding and

effectively responding to trends in child maltreatment.The quality of the data in this report is dependent upon the quality and accuracy of data submitted by the local agencies. The data collected for 2005 is from the Wisconsin Statewide Automated Child Welfare Information System (WiSACWIS).
