The Wisconsin Regional Training Partnership (WRTP) is featured in the study . The WRTP is part of the Annie E. Casey Foundation’s Jobs Initiative and is a non-profit association of more than 100 unions and employers providing occupation-specific training in manufacturing to low-income Milwaukee residents. Average post-placement wages for training participants were 33 percent higher than their average wages prior to enrollment in WRTP training. This reports boarders on advocacy but it is well supported and also is a good general source of information on skills training in the US. |
