The University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee Center for Economic Development compiled a comprehensive report on The Crisis of Black Male Joblessness in Milwaukee in 2006. This report documents the alarming extent to which black male joblessness has grown in Milwaukee since the 1970s. Data was used from the U.S. Census Bureau’s American Community Survey (ACS).
