This report summarizes the Environmental Health Survey (EHS), which was created as a part of the Environmental Health Education Project at the Sixteenth Street Community Health Center (SSCHC). It gathered information on demographic and socio-economic characteristics of the neighborhood surrounding SSCHC and environmental awareness issues. It surveyed more than 500 residents and showed that there is a general lack of awareness about environmental hazards and the health effects assocaited with them. |
