The Wisconsin Asthma Plan addresses eight key priority areas for asthma, identified by members of the Wisconsin Asthma Coalition: clinical care; environment; enhanced covered services for patients with asthma; racial and ethnic disparities; work-related asthma; surveillance and tracking; education; and public policy.
The Plan incorporates the work of Coalition members and partners as well as input gathered at more than thirty listening sessions held around the state. Sessions were held with a wide number of organizations and individuals interested in asthma, including Native American, Latino, African American and Hmong groups, as well as providers, clinicians, Health Watch, local health departments and boards, and Children with Special Health Care Needs. |
