Cardiovascular Disease is the leading killer of both men and women in Wisconsin. Heart Attacks and Strokes accounted for 37% of the deaths in Wisconsin in 2003. This report provides extensive data on the health factors that lead to cardiovascular disease and mortality rates. There are specific pages for each of the 72 counties in Wisconsin. The burden of cardiovascular disease cost Milwaukee County over a billion dollars in 2003, and cost Waukesha county 500 million dollars.
