Visual and performing arts and other cultural assets represent an important sector of our economy - just like manufacturing, financial services, or printing. In Southeastern Wisconsin in 2005, this industry served 4.5 million customers, engaged 3,000 employees and 9,000 volunteers, grew its assets by $5 million, and reported $127 million in sales and support.
