This article briefly summarizes the Mercury contamination problems found in Wisconsin water bodies. Mercury pollution can stem from a number of causes, inculding coal fired power plants. Lists of the ten most polluted lakes in Wisconsin, and the results of all the lakes analyzed are presented. The group asserts that the mercury pollution problem in Wisconsin is reversable, but steps have to be taken by the EPA to regulate the expulsion of mercury from power plants and other sources.
