Design opportunities to attract NEW volunteers
The world is changing – boomers, young professionals, job seekers, and Obama inspired volunteers are all out to change the world. Let’s make sure they start in our organizations! This “new breed” of volunteer is looking for something beyond the weekly opportunities that are the mainstay of many nonprofits. They may want to use their professional skills in a role more like a consultant, want to lead a project, or take an entrepreneurial volunteer perspective on your issue. This workshop will cover how to design these opportunities and then attract the right people. There will be time for each organization to brainstorm and create a position attractive to the NEW volunteer.
Fee:Fee: $75; $50 Nonprofit Center Members and CDBG agency attendees. If cost prohibits you from attending, limited scholarships are available to Nonprofit Center members and CDBG agencies thanks to a donation from Bostik, Inc. For information contact Bonnie Andrews at 273-7887.
